Introducing the new LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90, designed to awaken your inner adventurer. Celebrating Land Rover’s 75th anniversary, this 2,336-piece set is modeled after the classic Land Rover Defender from 1983 to 2016 and comes with all the accessories necessary for a thrilling off-road experience.

To mark the launch, the LEGO Group placed a bright yellow classic Land Rover Defender in the Scottish Highlands, transforming it into the world’s most challenging LEGO Store to reach. Two intrepid adventurers were challenged to make the journey to the store: Raha Moharrak, the first Saudi woman to climb Mount Everest and the Seven Summits, and Aldo Kane, a Scottish explorer and extreme locations expert. They raced to reach the remote LEGO Store and build the new set, with the ultimate question of who would get there first.

The film follows the two adventurers as they navigate the rugged terrain of the Scottish Highlands, overcoming muddy tracks, bumpy roads, and obstacles. One is a highly competitive desert adventurer and seasoned LEGO builder, while the other is a newcomer to LEGO builds after 30 years, but on his home turf. The adventure and play are not complete until the final brick is in place.

At the heart of the adventure is the LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 set, available in a sage green color. The set faithfully replicates the classic Defender, with a two-in-one format allowing fans to build and display the everyday road-ready model before transforming it into adventure mode with accessories such as the roof rack, engine snorkel, off-road front bumper, working winch, side rails, toolbox, a fire extinguisher, and traction plates for crossing mud and sand.

Kurt Kristiansen, LEGO Design Master, said, “Bringing the iconic Classic Land Rover Defender to life in brick form was no easy feat. During the design process, we aimed to capture the sense of adventure that this prestigious car inspires. We can’t wait to see fans’ reactions.”

Raha Moharrak said, “I was thrilled when the LEGO Group invited me to be a part of this campaign. I build at least one LEGO set each month, so working with two iconic brands was an epic adventure. From racing across the Scottish Highlands in a classic Defender to being one of the first to play with the new set, it was a dream come true.”

Aldo Kane added, “This was my first time building a LEGO set in years, but I was confident in my driving abilities. Despite the challenging terrain and icy conditions, it was quite the adventure. My favorite part of the experience was becoming friends with Raha and playing with the new LEGO set – it’s pretty spectacular!”
