Audi has broadened its e-mobility offerings by introducing a limited edition electric mountain bike, powered by Fantic. This latest addition to the Audi Genuine Accessories range is part of the company’s effort to provide alternative modes of e-mobility beyond just cars.

Audi has a rich history in off-road racing, including its successful use of quattro all-wheel drive in the 1980s, which helped to shape the brand’s DNA. Today, Audi’s focus on motorsport is centered on the Dakar Rally and the Arabian Desert with the innovative RS Q e-tron E2, which inspired the design of the Audi electric mountain bike powered by Fantic.

The Audi mountain bike powered by Fantic, like the brand’s fully electric e-tron cars, has versatility at its core, making it suitable for touring, endurance biking, and downhill riding, thanks to full suspension travel of 180mm, wide wheels, and off-road tires. The lightweight aluminum enduro frame is designed to allow a relaxed riding position, enabling riders to react better to obstacles and terrain.

The bike’s battery pack, which is located within the frame and features distinctive e-tron branding and decals, is a Fantic Integra 36 Volt, 720 Wh unit that powers the Brose S-MAG 36 Volt 250 Watt motor that delivers up to 90Nm of torque. The electric mountain bike has four levels of electrical assistance – Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost – providing riders with a range of assistance levels, from maximum efficiency and range to powerful assistance for sport cycling.

The handlebar-mounted digital display shows key information such as battery charge and speed at a glance. When the battery charge drops below 10%, the charge level indicator starts flashing in the top right corner of the display.
