It is no secret that Philippe Charriol has a passion for motorsports. In the 1990s, he participated in several international events where he drove his Lamborghini Diablo and Corvette 206 on the European circuits. Philippe also participated in the Andros Trophy for a number of years as well as the FIA GT Championship and in the Championnat de France Grand Tourisme. In 2011, he created the CHARRIOL SF10 for the GT and Endurance racing circuits.
The Chrono Celtica is a watch that delivers legibility in a sporty motif.
This passion for motorsports inspired him to design timepieces that reflect his love of the sport. The Celtica is a collection of sports watches dedicated to those who sport an active lifestyle. Included in this collection is the Chrono Celtica. This year, the watch receives an updated look with its new dial, tactile gunmetal bezel, and red hands.
This latest style presents the timepiece’s multi functions with clarity. The Swiss quartz Ronda movement provides the hours, minutes, seconds, date, day, month, and chronograph in its 44 mm case of 316L steel. The strap is rendered in a six-row cable motif, a signature of the brand, worked in sporty rubber, and the lugs come embossed with the CHARRIOL insignia. This watch comes in an array of four colors including matte black and grey gunmetal.
For Philippe Charriol, love is very important, whether it be directed towards a person or to one’s work. When you have love poured over your work, you become very strong, filled with energy, strength, and drive. When you love what you are doing, it will show in the product you are creating. Charriol’s love for motorsports is as powerful as his love for his brand. It is only natural that he expresses this passion through his timepieces. Philippe Charriol wants to share his passions: his timepieces and his love of cars, expressed in the new iterations of the Chrono Celtica.
