Unveiling the Unparalleled G-SHOCK MR-G Series: A Fusion of Strength and Elegance

The ultimate timepiece for professionals and watch enthusiasts.

Casio Computer Co., Ltd, in partnership with CSC Time Inc, exclusively launched the highly anticipated G-SHOCK MR-G Series at the L’Atelier by Lucerne in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. This collection represents the epitome of the G-SHOCK brand, catering to professionals and watch enthusiasts alike.

Engineer Kikuo Ibe, Casio’s head of watch design, designed the G-SHOCK in 1981 with the goal of creating a long-lasting and dependable shock-proof watch. The G-SHOCK MR-G series arose as a monument to Japanese artistry and expertise as a result of its enormous success. These timepieces have a full-metal construction that combines robustness and aesthetic appeal while mixing heritage and cutting-edge technology.

The MR-G watches undergo sophisticated techniques, including the application of the Black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. This pays homage to the iconic black color of the first G-SHOCK model, resulting in a sleek all-black exterior. The bezel and dial incorporate two distinctive Japanese hues: the Kachi-iro, symbolizing victory, and the Akazonae, representing the valor of elite samurai units.

Material selection plays a crucial role in the MR-G series, emphasizing strength and beauty. The band utilizes the DAT55G, a titanium alloy three times harder than pure titanium. The bezels are made of Cobarion and Ti64 Titanium Alloy, providing a radiant finish and exceptional durability.

Various procedures exceeding mass production requirements are used to obtain a faultless finish. Sallaz Polishing produces mirror-like surfaces on titanium, while a deep-layer hardening procedure improves scratch resistance. YAMAGATA Casio’s cutting-edge nano processing provides careful detail with precision grind mark finishes.

Master craftsmen offer their knowledge to the MR-G line, merging classic techniques with contemporary craftsmanship. ASANO Bihou employs the tsuiki hammering technique to create a one-of-a-kind relief pattern, while GASSAN Sadanobu carves Yasuri-me motifs on the bands. KIKUCHI Masano uses a traditional technique for a rusted steel texture on the bezel, which is hand-carved with the picture of a majestic dragon by master chaser KOYABASHI Masao. With mirror-surface facet cuts in very hard cobarion, KOMATSU Kazuhito demonstrates cutting and polishing expertise.

The G-SHOCK MR-G Series represents the pinnacle of watch craftsmanship, a fusion of durability and sophistication. Alongside this remarkable collection, the upcoming FROGMAN MRG-BF1000R, a true diver’s watch with ISO-standard 200m water resistance and a meticulously finished titanium exterior, awaits watch enthusiasts.
