H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F’s Artistic Symphony: The H. Moser X MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium

A unique collaboration for Only Watch Charity Auction

In a remarkable encore collaboration, Maximilian Büsser and Edouard Meylan have joined forces once again, creating an extraordinary timepiece dedicated to the world of music. This exceptional creation, named the H. Moser X MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium, will take center stage at the Only Watch charity auction.

Maximilian Büsser, the MB&F visionary, and Edouard Meylan, the H. Moser & Cie. is known for their inventive spirits. They are no strangers to pushing boundaries as independent, family-owned Swiss watchmaking enterprises. Following their incredibly successful first partnership, these committed entrepreneurs have joined together once more to help the battle against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through the Only Watch project.

To create a buzz and resonate with the Only Watch audience, Büsser and Meylan decided to craft a minute repeater, a complication that chimes the passage of time with remarkable precision. This complex mechanism is prominently displayed on the dial, allowing both the auditory and visual aspects of timekeeping to be celebrated simultaneously. The dial itself features a brand-new colorway, Aquamarine fumé, reflecting the minimalist philosophy of H. Moser & Cie. The hours and minutes are elegantly presented with small leaf-shaped hands at 2 o’clock, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of this timepiece.

The name of the H. Moser X MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium comes from the Latin phrase “Pandemonium,” which connotes both a literary allusion and a sense of chaotic chaos. The dial’s little panda sculpture serves as MB&F’s Only Watch hallmark. Max Büsser discusses the uplifting concept for this creature, emphasizing the significance of happiness, especially for children with muscular dystrophy. This white gold miniature DJ panda adds a whimsical touch, possibly mixing the music to the meeting of two great brands. Its elaborate design, which incorporates details as small as 0.99 mm, exhibits craftsmanship.

The beating heart of this timepiece is a large suspended balance wheel, borrowed from the Legacy Machine series. It features a double hairspring produced by Precision Engineering AG, a sister company of H. Moser & Cie. This innovative design enhances accuracy and isochronism, crucial elements in horology.

The cushion-shaped case, integrated with an adjustable bracelet, preserves the signature curves of the Streamliner collection. The minute repeater’s sliding bolt is ingeniously built into the main plate, saving space for a soundbox that amplifies the chiming of hours, quarter-hours, and minutes. Steel’s unique properties contribute to this sound enhancement, creating a harmonious auditory experience.

Powering this exceptional creation is the three-dimensional hand-wound HMC 906 calibre. Partially skeletonized to showcase key components, this movement is a testament to innovation and craftsmanship. Beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, it offers a minimum power reserve of 54 hours and features contemporary finishes.

Edouard Meylan highlights the enriching synergy of this cooperation, which resulted in a one-of-a-kind timepiece, movement, and dial designed specifically for Only Watch. This work is not only a tribute to horological quality, but also a sign of charity in favor of a noble cause. The H. Moser X MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium is sure to attract collectors and Haute Horologie enthusiasts alike. It will be auctioned off as part of the international Only Watch event on November 5th. Edouard Meylan and Max Büsser invite all music lovers to participate in this artistic symphony.
