Over Two Thousand Square Meters Of Confidence

KARE Philippines opens multiple doors with two new shops in less than two months.

The German furniture brand KARE made its presence known in the Philippines with it’s first showroom at The Podium in the Ortigas Center. A bold and impressive opening was much needed as we head deeper into the second year of challenge, and such a large-scale endeavor is just what the market needs. While it was planned even before 2020, it fits perfectly into a world that now spends much more of its work time and leisure time at home.

“We are excited to showcase what’s in store for the Filipino market with the launching of our newest showroom here in the Philippines. We are delighted to give our home decor enthusiasts a kick of inspiration with our unconventional selection of lifestyle pieces and anything but ordinary ideas for their living spaces,” said Ivan Yao during the showroom opening held at the Level 3 of The Podium.

This first store, at The Podium, opened with over a thousand square meters of floor space. So wide it needs two doors. Within two months, the brand opened yet another store, this time at the community-oriented Robinson’s Magnolia Mall and all its newly-developed houses, townhomes, and condominiums. It opened with a little more floor space than the first one. And it also needed two doors.

The second store opening of KARE, in the Robinsons Magnolia Mall in the growing Quezon City community, was a little more quiet but actually has a larger space. And yes two entrances.

It isn’t exactly easy to describe KARE. Their slogan is “The Joy Of Living” and their products include furniture, lighting, and furnishing accessories. This will include anything from globes and picture frames to big red Great Dane pieces that look at you eye-level. Quirky? Eclectic? Unconventional? Perhaps the best description would be “fun.” Their picture frames will have a bit of a twist, for example, or duck feet. Their bathroom tissue holders are bulldogs. A large golden turtle now inhabits the top of our piano. Something for everyone perhaps, but not what you might expect.

KARE has been around internationally for forty years, having been started in 1981 in Germany. It continues to try to take its rather wide and interesting variety of pieces for your home to more homes around the world. More than 120 stores in 50 countries.

“From the beginning, we don’t do normal— we design and create collections that make a statement. And as we expand our market here in the Philippines, we will make sure that we will serve our new market a mix of surprising, extraordinary, incomparable products that embody the KARE design philosophy,” said Jürgen Reiter, KARE Co-Founder.

The growth continues with these two new stores in yet another new market for KARE, The Philippines. Clearly the minds behind the brand and its entrance into the country see a future of growth and expansion. Since they are also the minds behind the growth of the Lucerne Group in the Philippines, they do have some experience in forecasting growth where others do not. Or in making that growth become a reality themselves.
