More Than Just Stars In The Sky

The OMEGA Constellation is more than just stars in the sky, it is a legacy of excellence combined with wonderful dial colors.

OMEGA always brings us beautiful watches, and the OMEGA Constellation is no exception. The watch was originally launched in 1952 as a chronometer for men, has had many iterations throughout the years, including adding models specifically for the ladies. All models have the luxury and precision that are hallmarks of an OMEGA timepiece.

The current set of Constellation watches released this year are a combination of that which we already love, and that which we will also love.

Constellation 41 mm
The OMEGA Constellation 41mm has ceramic bezels and dials. The ceramic bezels are in polished blue, black, or brown. The new ceramic dials are in elegant colors of white, rhodium-grey, gradient-green, or burgundy. There are also several materials, or combinations of materials, to choose from: stainless steel, stainless steel and18k yellow gold, or stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ Gold. The watches come with a leather strap that matches the dial color.

Powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900 provides the power, the Constellation 41 mm has the hours, minutes, and seconds function. The trapezoidal date window is at the 6 o’clock. The watch has an international 5-year warranty and has Master Chronometer certification.

While a 41mm watch is typically seen as sized for the men, this does not mean women can’t own a watch of this size. In fact, some women prefer the larger-size watches. Personally, I (wish I could) see the stainless steel with blue bezel and strap sitting comfortably on my wrist.

Constellation Aventurine
Every time I hear about the Constellation Aventurine, I immediately think of superheroes. And with the rich vibrant colors on these dials, that’s too far-off a thought. The 29 mm models, sized for the ladies, have dials made from Aventurine stone. As with all things made in nature, there are nuances to the pattern and color so you know your watch will be unique.

There are 12 model editions available, in either stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ Gold – or full Sedna™ Gold. The Aventurine dials are in green, red, or blue, and you can choose to have a gem-paved bezel or one engraved with Roman numerals (choose the diamonds, please).

The OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8700 powers the steel or steel combination models, while the 8701 powers the all-gold models. The watch has an international 5-year warranty and has Master Chronometer certification.

The diamond hour markers are some added bling, while the skeletonized hands for hours and minutes allow a sleek peek through to the Aventurine dial. The seconds hand is sleek and unobtrusive. The date window here is at the 6 o’clock again, but it is round in this model. As the three dials to choose from here, the eye-catcher is the red – it conveys power, warmth, and elegance all at the same time.

Constellation 28 mm
For the ladies who prefer a more gentle color combination on their watch, OMEGA has the Constellation 28 mm in four delicious pastel colors. Blush Rose, Patchouli Blossom, Celestial Blue, and Green Matcha not only grace the dials but also show on the bezel in the engraved Roman numerals. The watches are in stainless steel with hands, indexes, and applied elements in 18k white gold.

This watch has the OMEGA Calibre 4061 quartz movement, and has the hours and minutes. It also comes with an international 5-year warranty.

OMEGA Constellation

The Constellation with the green matcha dial is my favorite here, as it seems both youthful and elegant at the same time.

More than just stars
All OMEGA Constellation models have the telltale star on the dial. The watches have the elegance we have come to expect from OMEGA, and the new materials and details are exciting enough for this new world.
