The love for cars and watches. Seriously, who can deny the combination?
Not even history. And TAG Heuer x Porsche shows once again that they were and are a crucial partner in the world of motorsport and automotive passion and technology.
Seven decades ago two customer teams took their two Porsche 550 coupés on what became the legendary Carrera Panamericana road race.
Around six decades ago, Jack Heuer created a wristwatch specifically for racecar drivers, and named it after that race. The Carrera Chronograph began writing history.

The two companies, TAG Heuer and Porsche, are celebrating this special double anniversary with some very special models with a very special Sonderwunsch project. Just like special and limited editions of TAG Heuer, Porsche Sonderwunsch (special request) produces pieces on customer request.
Two again: two special cars have been produced based on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and were made in collaboration with Porsche Latin America. They proudly bear the TAG Heuer logo as livery, with numbers 152 and 154. There will also be two very special TAG Heuer timepieces.
Car number 154 made its debut at the Porscheophile nirvana that was Rennsport Reunion 7 in California, where it went on display at the TAG Heuer Heritage Experience Exhibition.

TAG Heuer brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey will be driving the car in the first and second stages of this year’s Carrera Panamerica. The other car, number 152, will also be in attendance but its job will be different. It differs slightly from number 154, and it will be auctioned off for a good cause in early 2024.
“The Carrera Panamericana has a very special status, as for a long time it was seen as the toughest race in the world,” says TAG Heuer brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey US actor and racing driver. “I’m privileged to be following the path of Porsche’s early motorsport successes and TAG Heuer’s legendary Carrera, and to be at the starting line of the prestigious race this year,” says Dempsey, an enthusiastic Porsche driver and with his own racing team.

The two cars will be painted in Le Mans Silver Metallic, with certain exterior components of the same color. The TAG Heuer logo will appear in a slightly darker gray on the bonnet and on the side blades of the rear wing. Even more special will be the interior of the cars. The Guards Red leather of the seats, the black of the dashboard and the door panel trim will see some flash. Housed in the center console will be a very special TAG Heuer stopwatch module.
