An Introduction to the Hermès H08 Chronograph

Its sleek design is matched by its impressive capabilities, making it a watch that can keep up with even the busiest of lifestyles.

Philippe Delhotal, Creative Director of Hermès Horloger, crafted the Hermès H08 watch in 2021 to embody a harmonious blend of strict discipline and innovation. The watch’s contemporary design strikes a balance between tension and fluidity, boasting a distinctive style that revolves around contrast and equilibrium. Its versatility is highlighted through the use of various shapes and materials, as well as meticulous attention to detail and precise craftsmanship, creating a refined and athletic character. The watch’s unique aesthetic, which includes a circular dial with an original font housed in a square case with softened edges, showcases its vitality and sensuality through a combination of textures, minerals, deep shades, and colorful accents. With a sporty spirit and urban appeal, the Hermès H08 watch seamlessly fits into the brand’s masculine universe. The collection has expanded to include two new models.

Crafted from a multi-layered composite block, the cushion-shaped case of the Hermès H08 Chronographe offers durability and comfort. This innovative material, made of carbon fiber and graphene powder, not only provides exceptional strength but also gives the watch a unique appearance. The chronograph features a single button, located at 3 o’clock, which is integrated into the black PVD-coated crown with an orange-rimmed monopusher. By pressing this button successively, the user can activate the chronograph’s start, stop, and reset functions. The satin-finished and polished titanium bezel contrasts with the textured case middle, while the black dial’s depth is enhanced by two counters and a cushion-shaped date display. The black gold hands and luminescent applied numerals and hour-markers provide legibility, complemented by orange accents for a cohesive look. The watch’s power comes from an Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement with a chronograph module. This model is paired with an orange rubber strap featuring a structure reminiscent of Hermès weaves.
