To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the British North Greenland Expedition in 2022, TUDOR launched the Ranger model, a rugged tool watch equipped with the Manufacture Calibre MT5402, a 39-millimetre case, and a clasp with a rapid adjustment system. The British North Greenland Expedition was a pivotal moment for TUDOR and its tool watches, marking one of the earliest real-world long-term tests under extreme conditions. Expedition members tracked the precision of their Oyster Prince watches against the hourly signals of the BBC and recorded their findings in dedicated notebooks. Upon returning from Greenland, one member wrote to TUDOR praising his watch’s “maintained remarkable precision” and that “at no time did it need to be rewound by hand”.
