In 2015, TAG Heuer made a significant impact on high-end watchmaking by releasing its first TAG Heuer Connected watch. Over the years, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has become a prominent player in the luxury connected watch market, expanding its collection and establishing itself as a reference, particularly in the golf community. With the release of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm, TAG Heuer is now expanding its offerings to all committed athletes.
Equipped with new features and a redesigned strap, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm can now monitor a wider range of sporting activities and collect more data. The latest software update, planned for mid-February, includes a new “Trail & Hiking” application specifically designed for runners and hikers who love exploring mountains and pushing their limits. The Sport Edition comes with a new strap that is more than just stylish – the use of rubber enhances the wearer’s experience while active. The bracelet features two color patterns with a fine mesh that allows for better breathability of the skin.
The strap of the new TAG Heuer Connected watch is also equipped with a pin buckle, which is particularly beneficial for active individuals whose wrists may gain volume during exercise. The pin buckle ensures that the watch fits snugly against the user’s body while in motion, allowing for a more enjoyable experience while wearing the TAG Heuer Connected watch.
The in-house developers of TAG Heuer Connected have added a new feature for this edition: the fine-tuned use of the barometer allows for tracking the gradients of various sporting activities, a function that is highly sought after by TAG Heuer customers. This new feature is made possible by the TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4, which powers the latest generation of connected watches.
With the barometer, the new Trail & Hiking activity feature is a valuable addition to the watch’s already impressive multisport offerings. Changing the main metric to Altitude Gained enables the user to monitor their efforts during the session and is available for post-session analysis on the TAG Heuer companion mobile app. An additional screen is available to allow the user to track their altitude and see the minimum and maximum altitude during the session.
The steel crown of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm is now topped with a rubber insert on all 45-mm models, making it easier to grip, even with wet hands. Demanding sports enthusiasts will appreciate this new feature, which facilitates sports activities.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm has a black sandblasted titanium case, and the same material is used for the bracelet’s pin buckle. Titanium provides a lightweight feel while offering a refined style to a very sporty watch. The ceramic bezel further emphasizes the Connected watch’s polished look. The dedicated strap is interchangeable and available in three colors: red, orange, and blue. The watch remains true to the values of the pioneer in luxury connected watches, providing technology adapted to the needs of the wearer, functionalities that allow both amateur and professional athletes to achieve their personal goals, and a meticulous design that conveys natural and contemporary elegance.
