Ressence, the renowned luxury watchmaker, has expanded its color palette with the introduction of a Sage Green dial to its iconic TYPE 8 timepiece. The dial itself comprises rotating discs set into the same plane, with the hour and minute scales picked out in SuperLuminova® for low-light legibility.

In a departure from traditional central-mounted hands, the main dial, a domed piece of titanium, rotates to indicate the minutes, while a smaller dial within it rotates to mark the hours, creating an ever-changing yet intuitive at-a-glance display that is legible from any angle – a hallmark of Ressence’s unique design approach.

Weighing a mere 42 grams, the TYPE 8 is the lightest of all Ressence watches, and its sleek 42.9 mm case is crafted from feather-light grade five Titanium, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. Continuing Ressence’s commitment to ergonomic utility, the TYPE 8 features an ambidextrous design with no traditional crown on either side of the case to mark it as left- or right-handed. Instead, the titanium case back intuitively rotates to set the time and wind the mechanical movement, ensuring a comfortable experience on all wrists.

The TYPE 8 is powered by a Ressence custom-made, yet traditional, mechanical automatic movement based on a specially customized and reinforced ETA calibre 2892/2, offering a 36-hour power reserve. The rotating dial, known as the Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS), is a patented mechanical innovation by Ressence that uses jewel ball bearings to ensure long-lasting and oil-free running.
