Rolex Has Launched Its New-Generation Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona

Rolex has launched its new-generation Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona with updates across the entire range. The iconic chronograph has received subtle refinements in its design, including a new graphic balance on the dial and harmonious color combinations to accentuate contrast. The Oyster case has been redesigned with highlighted lugs and case sides, and versions with a Cerachrom bezel feature a thin band of the same metal as the middle case.

The new Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with the calibre 4131, which is an evolution of the calibre 4130 and incorporates Rolex’s major innovations in movements, including the Chronergy escapement. The calibre features a cut-out oscillating weight and new finishes, including Rolex Côtes de Genève on the bridges. Calibre 4131 enables the Cosmograph Daytona to measure time intervals via the chronograph function and display hours, minutes, and seconds..

It is forever linked to the world of motor sport and continues to boast unparalleled status among sport chronographs.

Rolex has played a pioneering role in the development of special ceramics for creating monobloc bezels and bezel inserts. The materials are virtually scratchproof and resistant to environmental effects, and Rolex has developed exclusive expertise and innovative manufacturing methods to produce these ceramic components. The new-generation Cosmograph Daytona is available in different versions with Cerachrom bezels in chestnut brown, black, and with recessed graduations, numerals, and inscriptions on the tachymetric scale moulded then coated with a thin layer of platinum or yellow gold via a PVD process.

The 40 mm Oyster case of the new Cosmograph Daytona is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 meters and features a solid block of Oystersteel, 18 ct yellow or Everose gold, or 950 platinum. Its case back is hermetically screwed down with fine fluting, and the Triplock winding crown is fitted with a triple waterproofness system and protected by an integral crown guard. The crystal is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire and has an antireflective coating, providing optimal protection for the movement housed inside.

The passage describes the features of the new-generation Cosmograph Daytona watch from Rolex. It mentions that the watch is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement (calibre 4131) that delivers outstanding performance in terms of precision, power reserve, convenience, and reliability. The movement incorporates a chronograph function with a reduced number of components, enhancing the movement’s reliability. It also features a patented Chronergy escapement made of nickel-phosphorus, which is resistant to strong magnetic fields, and a blue Parachrom hairspring that offers great stability and resistance to shocks.

The watch is available in different versions, including one in 950 platinum with an ice blue dial, one in Oystersteel, one in yellow Rolesor (Oystersteel and yellow gold), one in 18 ct Everose gold with a bright black dial, and one in 18 ct yellow gold with a golden dial and bright black counters. The watch comes with an Oyster bracelet or an Oysterflex bracelet, both equipped with the Oysterlock folding safety clasp. The Oyster bracelet features the Easylink comfort extension link, and the bracelet on the platinum and Everose gold versions includes patented ceramic inserts to enhance its flexibility and longevity. The Oysterflex bracelet, on the other hand, comes with the Rolex Glidelock extension system.
