Love those Lamborghinis

A whole week to celebrate that which you love — who wouldn’t want that?

Lamborghini gave its aficionados all that and more during the Monterey Car Week. They inaugurated their newest villa outpost – the Lamborghini Lounge Monterey. The villa is the perfect showcase for their fantastic automobiles. Monterey on its own already boasts of beautiful vistas and scenic drives. Now it has the magnificent Lounge too.

The modern villa provides guests with an immersive experience, all the better to fall more in love with your Lambo. If you’re the art appreciation type, there was live sketching from Lamborghini’s Centro Stile. And if you felt the need to personalize your ride more to your taste, you could’ve gone to the Ad Personam customization area. And of course, many a car fan is also a watch too –- after all, you need to track your speed somehow – so the Roger Dubuis display and workshop was there to feed your frenzy.

Guests could meander through the villa at their convenience, perusing the latest Lamborghini products, and even discussing improvements with the company’s top executives. You could sneak in a test drive – or two – of the car that captured your eye. And when you needed to actually feed your palate and your stomach, Italian Chef Andrea Zanin worked culinary magic with the authentic menu, offering the best of the best, ‘made in Italy.’

The weekend began earnestly enough with an exclusive event to introduce the guests to this fabulous new home. The Consulate General of San Francisco was on hand at the inauguration event to welcome and toast the more than 500 VIPs, guests and influencers. Italian excellence was everywhere, and no one was happier than the guests. Among the events of the evening were an homage to the 50th anniversary of Espada and Islero models and a nod to the birth year of the Lamborghini, 1963. Lamborghini’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Stefano Domenicali, was on hand to ensure everything went smoothly.

We are living a very exciting time for our company,” says Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “At this edition of Monterey Car Week, we celebrate all things Lamborghini and we have much to be proud of such as our recent sales record, the successful entree of the Urus Super SUV into the American market and our record-breaking V12 super car the Aventador SVJ. It’s a truly energizing time for the iconic marque.”

Oh, did we not mention that the new Aventador SVJ was revealed, too? This time they chose The Quail, to present the automobile. And it wouldn’t be an event of note without a limited-edition Aventador SVJ 63 to yearn for, perfectly presented on the Concept Lawn of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. As the name may hint, only 63 of these beautiful cars will be produced. The body and monocoque are full carbon fiber.

What a week it was, and all we can do is look forward to more excellence from Lamborghini – in cars, events, and improvements. They know how to honor the past, look to the future, and throw a hell of a good party.
