Jagger Eaton, Skateboarding World Champion, Becomes Part of the IWC Family

Discover the Achievements and Community Initiatives of the Two-Time World Champion and Olympic Medalist

Jagger Eaton, the two-time skateboarding World Champion and Olympic Medalist, has officially become the latest Friend of the Brand for IWC Schaffhausen. Both IWC and Eaton have a mutual love for sports and a commitment to pushing boundaries, cementing their connection. Eaton’s remarkable talent, perseverance, and self-assurance make him a fitting addition to the IWC family.

Jagger Eaton, a rising star in the world of skateboarding, represents the new generation of young talent in the sport. Born in Arizona in 2001 to parents who owned a skatepark, Eaton began skating at the age of four, and with the support of his family, quickly developed a passion for it. His impressive versatility in street and park skateboarding has established his career as a professional skateboarder.

Eaton made history by becoming the first athlete to win the World Championships in both street and park skateboarding. This feat secured his place as the first skateboarder to compete in both disciplines for the USA Skateboarding National Team. In 2012, he set the record as the youngest competitor to participate in the X Games, and in 2014, he became the youngest winner of the prestigious Tampa Am. Additionally, Eaton was the only American to win a medal in the Men’s Skateboarding Street discipline at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“I’m excited to be IWC’s first skateboard athlete. I relate to the brand because, like IWC, I always strive to push myself while staying grounded. I remember the moment when I realized I wanted to skateboard professionally, and even though it hasn’t been easy, I always remind myself to enjoy the journey. These moments are a testament to hard work and self-belief,” said Jagger Eaton.

In addition to his success in skateboarding, Eaton is committed to giving back to the community. He aims to make skateboarding more accessible to young people and works with The Heart Supply, a skateboard brand that gives away skateboards annually to provide access to the sport. Eaton also participates in the brand’s non-profit initiative in Xala, Mexico, where he helps reforestation efforts to offset the environmental impact of hardwood skateboards.

IWC Schaffhausen is pleased to welcome Jagger Eaton into their family as the first skateboard athlete. According to Franziska Gsell, CMO at IWC Schaffhausen, “We are delighted to welcome the young and remarkable Jagger to our family. His sport demands precision, determination, and confidence, which are all qualities that shine through in his personality and align with the IWC spirit.”

Eaton visited the IWC boutique in San Diego, California, to collect his all-black IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Ceratanium® (Ref. IW388106). Made from patented Ceratanium®, this timepiece is tough, light, and scratch-resistant. The watch has hands and detailing with luminescent material in white and is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber, a classic column-wheel design with a day and date display at 3 o’clock. It is completed with a rubber strap with textile inlay, making it an ideal companion for Eaton’s skateboarding adventures.
