MARKING its 15th year as a close partner to the Venice International Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre at the 76th edition of the cineastes’ spectacle again drew on the parallels between fine watchmaking and proper filmmaking, i.e. attention to the minutest detail, quest for excellence, impeccable timing. Of course, the affinity wasn’t lost to the celebrities fronting the photo wall, too. And, on this spot, those with a Jaeger-LeCoultre pieces on their wrist became glittering proofs of the link between cinema and horology. Or maybe even history and humanity.
