IWC Announces the Launch of TIME WELL SHARED: A Global Initiative

The global IWC family, comprised of employees, brand ambassadors and partners are standing together to launch the initiative “Time Well Shared”.

The feeling of anxiety, the fear of not knowing when the global pandemic will come to an end and of course, where to go from here. These are the thoughts that are surely stewing inside the minds of most of the people in lockdown, roughly one third of the world’s population and growing as countries come to grips with the importance of quarantining their citizens. Being social beings, it only is a matter of time when extended periods away from the normal routine creates a feeling of helplessness, low morale and even despair. The need to keep a positive attitude and continued productivity while maintaining social distancing is of utmost importance. And watchmaker IWC believe they have the perfect solution to inspire people to make the most of their time and to entertain and support them by keeping them connected and engaged.

The global IWC family, comprised of employees, brand ambassadors and partners are standing together to launch the initiative “Time Well Shared”. Encompassing online lectures, speeches and webinars that will be published on digital forums and channels in the coming weeks, the IWC family intend to inform and entertain people with contributions from the brand’s ambassadors and partners such as Tom Brady, David Coulthard and Maro Engel as well as collective efforts from Mercedes-AMG F1, Tottenham Hotspur and Solaris Yachts to name a few.

Topics for discussion and dissemination will be broad and seek to share knowledge and experience for different interests. For example, Pilot Matt Jones will share memories of last year’s “Silver Spitfire – The Longest Flight” expedition. Retired US Navy Captain and TOPGUN pilot Jim DiMatteo will elaborate on Navy Fighter Squadron values like performance, resilience and precision in business. Closer to home, David Seyffer, curator of the IWC Museum, will give insights into the history of IWC, and former Director of Marketing and Sales, Hannes Pantli, will divulge some never-before-told IWC stories.

IWC also aims to raise funds for Save the Children by including a voluntary donation button with every contribution shared with IWC making the first donation. Save the Children aims to strengthen its programs that protect children and families in countries that are hit by the virus, increase support for national health systems, and raise awareness among parents and caregivers on how to provide psychosocial support to children.
