Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced that the popular South Korean girl group ITZY has been appointed as the official ambassador for the G-SHOCK brand of shock-resistant watches. Composed of five members from JYP Entertainment Corporation, ITZY has gained significant popularity since their debut in February 2019, particularly among teenage girls and women in their twenties in Asian countries.

G-SHOCK has established itself as a brand with unrivaled shock resistance and unique design since the launch of its first watch in 1983. The brand has consistently brought these qualities to collaborations in various realms, including sports, fashion, music, and art. In recent years, G-SHOCK has also been expanding its lineup of more compact watches to cater to the needs of users across the gender spectrum, especially in the market for women’s watches.

The powerful and expressive songs, as well as cool performances that are synonymous with ITZY’s sensational charm, make for a perfect match with the G-SHOCK vision defined by the brand concept of toughness. As a result, Casio decided to sign the group as a brand ambassador. Casio plans to feature ITZY in G-SHOCK advertising visuals, movies, and more in Japan and other parts of Asia to effectively convey the G-SHOCK worldview to more users, particularly young women.
