In 1994, he and his wife, Billye, established the Chasing the Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization that has provided scholarships to over 800 underprivileged youth. The foundation’s mission was to empower young people with limited opportunities, helping them pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.
Hank Aaron passed away in 2021, leaving behind an enduring legacy of generosity and inspiration. He once said, “I hope I have set a pattern in life, not only for my kids but for all the people in the world: that if you try a little harder, no matter how large an obstacle might be, you can succeed.”
