The newest Seiko boutique is now open at the Power Plant Mall.
Seiko, a brand born out of Tokyo Japan in 1881, recently opened up its latest boutique in the metro; located at the Power Plant Mall, the shop houses its Seiko and Grand Seiko collections.
Unveiled to the public, and select media, are the two new additions to the Grand Seiko Sports collection, the quartz GMT, featuring a stainless-steel case and a dual-curve sapphire crystal surrounded by a fixed stainless-steel bezel with a 24-hour scale. SBGN027 features a black sunray dial with otherwise monochromatic highlights, while the SBGN029 has a blue sunray dial with red-color accents on the dial text and GMT hand; the perfect time piece for world travelers.
A new watch available to pre-order, with its inspiration from the melting snows of Mt. Iwate, the SLGH013 has a new light blue dial with a case and bracelet made of ever-brilliant steel. Then, there is the limited edition SLGH009, Grand Seiko’s first Ever-Brilliant Steel watch, powered by the revolutionary Caliber 9SA5, offering a power reserve of 80 hours and tempered screws marking the 55th anniversary of the 44GS.
The Evolution 9, touted as the future of Grand Seiko, mixes the traditional and modern, taking inspiration from the culture and traditions of Japan, while keeping up with the times with its confident lines, strong presence, and quiet radiance attuned to the wants of the next generation. The SLGH005, was awarded “Best of the Best” by the Red Dot Design Award 2022. The award giving body is composed of a jury of 48 design experts from 23 countries; the Evolution 9 style, according to the jurors, skillfully encapsulates Grand Seiko’s philosophy and the embodiment of the classic Japanese design.
