The stainless steel dial is always a classic choice, and Glashütte Original takes it one step higher with the diamonds on the bezel. The dial itself is elegant, being of white mother-of-pearl. The luster is a fitting backdrop for the diamonds – yes, more diamonds on the dial, but not as you’d expect. First, let’s look at the off-center hours, minutes, and small seconds. The numerals used are so stylized that they really are a design aspect on their own, done in a light lilac color. The small seconds is at 6 o’clock, though it actually takes the space of the 5 and 7 on the dial too. The remaining hours are marked with diamond rod indexes, which is just a touch of luxury that is perfect. Of course there is the panorama date window by the 4 o’clock, and the moon phase indicator by the 2 o’clock.
