Glashütte Original Offers High-End Customization to its Current Crop of Watches

Glashütte Original, the well-known Saxon-based watchmaker is now offering what they refer to as high-end customization to any current collection model with a precious metal case. This will address numerous customer requests of personalizing their Glashütte Original watch straight from the manufacture. Varying degrees of personalization from strap variations, engravings all the way to bespoke stone settings, the possibilities are endless with only technical limitations as the hindering factor. To showcase this new level of high-end customization, several bespoke models were presented in China. After generating positive feedback with a few custom variations in the Far East, the brand has now begun a global roll-out to customers worldwide.

Some of the models presented included a PanoLunar Tourbillon in red gold where the handcrafted dial framed by a bezel set with baguette-cut diamonds. The sparkling stones perfectly complimented the filigree Flying Tourbillon and the moonphase display on the watch dial. Another beautifully executed combination of watchmaking and gem setting craftsmanship could be seen in a Senator Cosmopolite traveler’s watch. Complimenting the watch’s ability to keep track of 35 time zones are brilliant-cut diamonds on the lugs and baguette-cut sapphires of varying colors representing the world on the bezel. Rounding out the display were a Senator Chronometer Tourbillon and a Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar with tasteful and subtle add-ons that complimented the Glashütte Original watch design lines.

To demonstrate the extreme end of customization available, A Senator Tourbillon in white gold featuring two unique complications (Panorama Date and Flying Tourbillon) was covered in brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds was also on display. This watch featured a lavish full pave setting, lugs covered with brilliant-cut diamonds and baguette-cut precious stones serving as indices and adorning the bezel.

Other personal touches such as small case back engravings are possible as well as the use of straps of various types of material and different colors. Requests for customizations are now being entertained at Glashütte Original Boutiques or authorized dealers.
