This year, TUDOR celebrates sixty years of their diver’s watches. And on this anniversary, TUDOR presents the Black Bay in a yellow gold and stainless steel case, aptly called the Black Bay S&G (Steel and Gold).

The 41 mm steel case is polished and satin finished. The unidirectional rotating bezel is done in yellow gold and a matte black anodised disc has 60-minute graduated gold markings. The winding crown is also finished in yellow gold with the TUDOR rose engraved on it and lacquered in black.

The bracelet retains the design inspired by the folding riveted bracelets of the TUDOR watches produced in the 1950s and 1960s. These bracelets have rivet heads for attaching the links, as seen on the side of the bracelet. The links have a distinct stepped construction. These specific details are what makes the Black Bay S&G true to its original DNA.

Powering the Black Bay S&G is the manufacture calibre MT5612. This movement features a date function, appearing on the Black Bay for the first time. This high performance calibre has a 70-hour power reserve, runs at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, and is related by a variable inertia oscillator with a silicon balance spring. The calibre MT5612 is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute, or the COSC.

The Black Bay S&G also comes in two other versions: one with a brown aged leather strap and the other in a fabric strap that utilised the traditional hand-woven Jacquard technique, ensuring that the strap has a higher thread count that makes it thicker and heavier, more durable that computer-aided fabric straps.
