TW Steel Teams Up with Pink Ribbon

Collaboration brings Special Edition watches to raise awareness for breast cancer

TW Steel wants to raise awareness for breast cancer. Having teamed up with Fight Cancer to great success in the past, the Amsterdam based horology masters have combined forces with Pink Ribbon to produce two special edition timepieces and do their part to support their efforts. The timepieces are created from the timeless Volante Collection and make a powerful statement as well as contributing to an essential cause. A substantial portion of all purchases go to Pink Ribbon who work tirelessly to raise awareness for breast cancer as well as raise and provide funds for vital research.

The Pink Ribbon symbol is recognizable around the world. It is a reminder that breast cancer is still a real and constant danger and a call to action for everyone who wants to end it for good. By partnering with Pink Ribbon, TW Steel want to use their position in the watch world to promote awareness as well as provide much needed funds for breast cancer research. By buying a TW Steel Pink Ribbon Special Edition timepiece, you are contributing to one of the most worthwhile causes of our times, while being able to display your support proudly with a unique and stylish accessory.

The TW Steel Pink Ribbon Special Edition timepieces are based on the Volante Collection and feature powerful design elements that show the wearer’s moral support for women with breast cancer, mixed with the effortless cool that comes with a TW Steel timepiece. Featuring a 45mm brushed steel case, with a shiny bezel, powered by a Miyota 3-hand movement and featuring a sapphire coated crystal; these features are everything you have come to expect from TW Steel, with a twist.

Each of the Special Edition timepieces are styled with pink accents, reflecting Pink Ribbon and the international colour of breast cancer awareness. They proudly feature the Pink Ribbon logo on the dial and a bold number 10, in honour of October, the tenth month of the year and International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The TW972 pairs these striking features with a refined mother of pearl dial and a pure white textile strap with pink stitching. The TW973 sports a deep black dial and a black textile strap with pink stitching. Both models will be delivered in a CEO box with an extra pink textile strap.

“We’re really proud of these timepieces,” commented Jordy Cobelens, CEO of TW Steel. “Both in terms of design and what they represent, they mean a great deal to TW Steel as a company and to myself personally. Cancer is a disease I have been personally affected by and being able to join with people like Pink Ribbon is a privilege. I think it’s important for people who are in a fortunate position, like we are, to help out where they can. As with every watch we produce, the design makes a strong statement. Both versions are fashionable, but they also carry a message. We think they are the kind of timepieces that people can be proud of wearing, for more reasons than one.”
