Panerai, the Florentine high-end luxury watchmaker, is reopening its ifc boutique in Hong Kong, with the concept by Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola. The concept of the design and the materials used respect the philosophy and history of Panerai.

The boutique is located in ifc mall, one of the city’s most prestigious shopping centres, facing Hong Kong’s iconic waterfront in the Central business district and housing over 100 international luxury brands. The Panerai ifc boutique is the 3rd existing Hong Kong retail location, which features an area of 45 square metres, displaying the collections of the Florentine company to enthusiasts and collectors.

Patricia Urquiola, the celebrated Spanish architect and designer, has reinterpreted the aesthetic and technical

codes of the watch house, respecting the identity of the brand with a timeless design: she has succeeded in respecting tradition with a look that is nonetheless modern and up-to-date, finding a genuine link between the past and the future.

The distinctive elements used by Patricia Urquiola in this boutique are oak, “calacatta luccicoso” veined marble, brushed dark brass, bronze, and a special corrugated glass, undulating and transparent, a clear reference to the world of the sea and ships, as are the brass lights and the sales counters with their details of wood. The boutique also features a large Wall Clock, in the boutique a large-scale version of Panerai’s iconic watch dial.

The boutique is welcoming, sophisticated, contemporary and elegant: as well as admiring the technical beauty of Panerai watches, clients can relax in a luxurious, intimate space.
