Rolex and Lucerne gave the Bonifacio Global City crowd a glimpse of the finest that Baselworld had to offer, as they launched the new Rolex boutique with an exhibition of the 2017 Rolex models from Basel.
Lucerne managing director Ivan Yao said “We are especially proud to be expanding the Rolex presence in the Philippines and to have represented the brand for over 30 years, upholding the finest standards of quality and service.”
This newest boutique marked the fifth dedicated Rolex boutique in the fair city, and it is clearly aware of the traditions and the standards that it is called upon to display. Rolex boutiques have always been the lap of luxury, but this time they had some very distinguished visitors. Rolex commemorated the inauguration of the BGC Rolex boutique with a display of the finest timepieces that the brand had to offer from this year’s Baselworld. For that fine inaugural night, and for some time after, the display cases of the boutique glittered with the finest, sturdiest wristwatches that have graced us.
There was the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller, in the new 43mm case containing the Rolex caliber 3235 watch movement. The unforgettable Yacht-Master II, Rolex’s regatta chronograph, with the unmistakable settings. The Cosmograph Daytona was there in 18 karat yellow gold, or white gold, or Rolex’s own proprietary Everose gold. The watch has adopted the Oysterflex bracelet, that flexible wonder rendered in elastomer, and a monobloc Cerechrom bezel in black ceramic.
And if you have the sea, then why not the sky? The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller was present, the classic companion for the traveller whose wanderings could take them literally anywhere on Earth. The Sky-Dweller was available in white or yellow Rolesor, that distinctive blend which combines steel with white or yellow gold.
And there, too, were the men’s and women’s Datejust models, the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 and the Lady-Datejust 28. These old favorites had the latest generation mechanical movements, ensuring that even though Rolex may travels across the international dateline, it is never behind the times.
