Porsche is setting the new Cayenne on a road trip of epic proportions. You’ll be glad you came.

Porsche AG is bringing a new level of driving experience to their repertoire. The 2018 Porsche World Expedition is going to send the Porsche Cayenne around the world in 80 days, a journey of more than 30,000 kilometers. These tours will cover six continents and will provide a driving experience that will be truly memorable.

“This World Expedition is designed for avid Porsche enthusiasts seeking unique experiences with like-minded people and extreme driving challenges – people who desire an adventure that is truly priceless”, says Catja Wiedenmann, Manager of Porsche Driving Experience at Porsche. Catja is sending the drivers and their Porsche Cayennes off-road… and we mean really, really off-road.

Those routes, set on six different continents, will traverse more than 20 nations, and provide challenges the likes of which few drivers have ever seen outside of a dedicated road rally. But even better, the locations themselves will be some of the most amazing sights on Earth.

The tour will start on May 11, 2018, in Brisbane, Australia. It will follow in the ancient paths of the Aborigines, 5,000 km to Perth. On the way it will pass the sacred site of Uluru, the famous red rock formation. And that’s just Stage 1.

The next stage begins in June and winds across Europe to Chamonix in France.  Then the drivers move on to Africa, crossing the Serengeti. They will pass through the Chinese city of Lijiang, against the magnificent backdrop of the Himalayan mountains. They will drive within view of the incredible Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River. And perhaps most amazingly, they will pass the magnificent mountain citadel of Machu Picchu. This high-altitude wonder of the world is literally and figuratively the high point of many a journey.

Each expedition has a total of 28 places available. If there was ever a reason to gear up for a road trip, this is the one. Pack your bag, kiss your loved ones, buy your tickets, and get a good pair of driving goggles, because your eyes are going to be popping out of your skull.
