The Aston Martin Q

Already known for luxury vehicles, Aston Martin exceeds expectations by listening to, and accommodating, customer requests.  Not merely which color leather to use for the seats, or which wood to use on the interior, but a commission for a limited run of Aston Martins.

In 1998, Aston Martin launched an extreme version of the Vantage sportscar. The supercharged V8 Vantage V600 was capable of 600bhp, and was one of the most powerful sports cars of the time. Two decades later, the car has been reborn in a limited run, all through the request of a customer. Aston Martin offers a very specialized and unique personalization service, Q by Aston Martin – Commission. Ask and it shall be granted. Now that is excellent Aston Martin customer service.

Marek Reichman, Vice President & Chief Creative Officer Aston Martin said, “This is precisely why we created our ‘Q by Aston Martin – Commission’ service. Our customers can create truly bespoke sports cars by personally collaborating with myself and Aston Martin’s design team. The V600 name remains a classic in Aston Martin’s heritage and I’m proud to see it adorn the V12 Vantage V600 once again”.

The inspiration behind this customer-commissioned limited run is the Aston Martin Vantage V600. The result is the all-new Aston Martin V12 Vantage  V600s, and there are just 14 of them. Seven coupes and seven roadsters, and called the “Triple V,” these sports cars have the hallmark of Aston Martin DNA – commissioned, designed, and handcrafted without compromise.

The 2018 Aston Martin V12 Vantage V600 has the performance power of a muscle sportscar combined with the elegance and timeless style expected of the brand. The result is the ultimate analogue Vantage.

The Vantage V600 is a delight for the senses. Visually, who can resist that impressive silhouette, whether in the coupe or roadster version? When you spot on one the road, all you can think of is, I want one. I want one now. The power beneath the hood is an upgraded version of the Aston Martin’s 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. The 7-speed manual transmission gives the driver an engaged driving experience – would you want anything less? And as powerful as this black beauty is, you know you’ll have a smooth ride thanks to the front and rear dual independent wishbone suspension (with 3-stage adaptive damping).

The full-carbon fibre exterior creates a remarkable look for the V12 Vantage V600. The styling cues echo the 90s classic and give you a commanding road presence. The V600 employs the new iteration of the side-strake, and the bulging bonnet hints of the power that this Vantage is capable of. The dark grille, while seemingly menacing, allows maximum air and cooling of the V12. The rear is nothing to scoff at either – those left in your wake will watch the powerful Vantage speed off and realize the style signals the power.

Carbon fibre isn’t limited to the exterior in this V12 Vantage V600, as the diffuser is all-new carbon fibre as well. The bespoke centre-lock forged and machined aluminium wheels complete the look of this Triple V.

The interior has been given just as much care and attention as the engine and the exterior. After all, you’d want to enjoy being inside the powerhouse Aston Martin. Carbon fibre again makes its presence felt, and is partnered with dark adonized aluminium. The seats are lightweight and feature a new perforation pattern. The centre console and bespoke driver information dials are a nice touch too. To ensure comfort, the centre armrest is hand-crafted and ergonomically styled for the benefit of the driver.

The 2018 Aston Martin V12 Vantage V600 is an impressive, customer-commissioned sports car. I’d contact them soon to put in my request, as there are only 14 available for delivery this year. But don’t lose hope – thanks to Q by Aston Martin – Commission,’ you know Aston Martin listens.
